Which follows that the text and ALL the other elements are on that one layer. The problem you're going to have is that removing the text is going to leave a hole in the image. Obviously you're going to need to fill that hole, and that's going to be difficult. Extremely difficult if you want to remove all the text. So....how much of the text do you need to replace? If the answer is all of it - I would strongly recommend keeping the figures and replacing the entire purple background AS WELL AS the text.
