Hervandil
Hello, I'm not being able to install this new version of Paint.net. I think is due to the required .net framework 4.7.1. I'm having some permission issues that doesn't come up in other applications. Is it possible to perform any workaround? Regards
BoltBait
Try disabling the "Controlled folder access" option of Windows Defender. Then, try the install again. Hervandil
Hello, Windows Defender is not active. I also disabled Symantec Endpoint Protection. And concerning the folder .net framework is installed (C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET), it seems I have permissions to reading/writing.

Rick Brewster
And make sure you're running Windows 7 SP1, or Windows 8.1 (_not_ 8), or Windows 10 v1607 or later. https://blog.getpaint.net/2017/10/23/paint-net-4-0-20-and-net-4-7/ If not, make a trip to Windows Update and keep installing and rebooting until it's empty.
