Security-Drone
I've been working on a animated background (similar to the battle backgrounds from Earthbound, example below) for a project that would appear to cycle through different colours in the pallette. Seeing how drawing each frame hand by hand is tiring and unreliable, is there a tool or plugin that would do this for me? I still have cramps... BoltBait
I don't think there's a plugin to do what you want. The nearest is probably "Adjustments > Hue / Saturation". Ego Eram Reputo
21 minutes ago, BoltBait said: The nearest is probably "Adjustments > Hue / Saturation". Agreed. This was created in the following manner 1. duplicate the layer (Ctrl + Shift + D) 2. open Adjustments > Hue & Saturation (Ctrl + Shift + U) 3. adding 12 to the Hue. Ok (hit Enter on your keyboard) 4. Repeat 1-3 30 times: [Ctrl + Shift + D, Ctrl + Shift + U, Enter....,] There are 360 hues in the color range. So I'm using 30(frames)x12=360 to create the whole cycle. It's not quite perfect, but very quick! MadJik
I have this in my unpublished stock RotateColor.dll It works better with low numbers of colors. Otherwise, create a layer with vertical stripes. Duplicate and use panelling to slide one stripe. Redo till the rotation is complete. Then use the kaleidoscope with 4 pièces and rotation 45° on each layers Save as animated gif. Security-Drone
Thank you all for the tips! I can finally get that unique 8-bit style (with a little tweaking). I feel bad for not replying sooner. (p.s. Madjik, Your plugin works exceptionally with linear gradients! If you can you could add an option to add custom palettes in a specific order to rotate, it would be perfect!) Which plugin ? -Rotate color -Panelling -Kaleidoscope There is a plugin "recolor from palette". Rotate color is most for image with few colors 3 to 20. Test it with a flag (US, UK Fr...).
