Excellent tutorial, even more so for the chance to practice on @MJW's wonderful Height Map plugins. Thank you @lynxster4.

The "bean" refers to the eMap I used. In case anyone wants to use it, it's "hidden" below (that is, I hope I remember how to "hide").

EDIT: No, it doesn't work. I hope someone lets me know how to. In the meantime, here is the eMap:

Looks cool @Djisves!  😁  And shiny, too!   It makes very respectable 'chrome'.

To hide text or an image:  highlight it and press the 'eye' button.  Tooltip is 'spoiler'.

Hi @lynxster4

Two things.  How does one 'highlight' anything: and, where is the 'eye' button with the 'spoiler' tooltip?

Cool result @Djisves it works great against the background... I've pinched the emap so thanks for the share

@ANONYMISS ... left click and drag your mouse across the text you want to hide ... then click the icon

Thank you@welshblue, and apologies to @lynxster4

I thought that this was about working within the PDN app - not the PDN forum.

 No blusher needed this evening.

Hi @lynxster4 Here's another effort.

I used a fisheye lens image from google for the height map.

Spent hours today messin with different fonts. So easy to do when you've got the settings set.

Spent so long couldn't be bothered with the background.🙃

Thanks again.😉

Expect this image to be edited tomorrow, not happy with it.🤨

Thanks for this!  I've been struggling to make chrome effects.

One thing that is throwing me in the tutorial:  on step 9 it says to duplicate the text layer 2 times and erase the letters on each layer.  I'm not sure what to do with that; if I delete that everything is gone?  I ended up keeping everything on each layer and doing the texture shader on all 3 with different settings, then ended up using opacity on the layers to blend them.

The result looks ok, but not looking as good as some of the examples I see here.  Thanks!!!

@TimewalkerAD Welcome!  Thanks for trying the tutorial. If you look at the screenshot that accompanies step 9, you'll see I left two (different) letters on each layer. The first layer contains the CH, the second layer contains the RO, and the third layer contains the ME. When using Texture Shader you will need to adjust the position of the emap to get more 'chrome effect' on the letters. Does this make sense to you? If you are trying this on 'Timewalker' you'll need more than 3 layers. I would duplicate (4) times and erase letters so you have TI on the first layer, ME on the second, WA on the third, LK on the fourth, and ER on the fifth. Try it again and let me know if you need more help. 😊
