John-L.
I have one transparent layer, that I added simple black lines and text over. The Layer popup shows the desired result; the main display area does not (see attached). What setting am I missing? Thanks in advance. BTW, I issued a Save As... .png. It didn't help. Ego Eram Reputo
Try updating paint.net. Your screenshot is showing 4.0.16. You can start the update from the Settings menu. Also, JPEGs don't support transparency Quote ebook: Mastering Paint.NET | resources: Plugin Index | Stereogram Tut | proud supporter of Codelab plugins: EER's Plugin Pack | Planetoid | StickMan | WhichSymbol+ | Dr Scott's Markup Renderer | CSV Filetype | dwarf horde plugins: Plugin Browser | ShapeMaker
IRON67
You have changed the Layer visibility. If you change it to fully transparent, of course you can't see anything. Here's a MP4 Video Demo: https://workupload.com/file/VbWAvdJ Edited November 28, 2017 by IRON67
