10basetom
Almost every time I copy images in paint.net my copy & paste functionality stops working in Windows 10 (latest build). After much trial and error, I have narrowed it down to paint.net following these steps: 1. Open a fairly large image (e.g., 1000x1000) 2. Select all and press Ctrl+C to copy the image 3. Paste the image somewhere else 4. Repeat steps 1-3, copying different images Eventually you will get this error, after which copy & paste stops working in Windows: In order to fix this, I have to log out and log back in. IRON67
Maybe you should update to 4.0.19....
toe_head2001
'Access Denied'. Are you using some over zealous "security" software? Quote (September 25th, 2023) Sorry about any broken images in my posts. I am aware of the issue. 10basetom
I just updated to version 4.0.21 and the copy/cut problem reared its ugly head again (same error as above). Anyone else suffering from this, or just me?? I'm using Windows 10 Pro with no anti-virus software apart from what comes with Windows 10. Roly Poly Goblinoli
After you get the error, does closing paint.net completely allow you to use the clipboard again? What about for things like text? Edited March 20, 2018 by Joshua Lamusga
Rick Brewster
This is almost certainly caused by some other software you have running. The clipboard is a shared resource -- one application can break it for all the others, unfortunately.
