Discovering font after document is closed?

Is there a way to determine what  text font was used in a document that has previously been saved and closed?

The text becomes regular ol' pixels, so there's no "easy" way.

 

I usually just retype the same text, and then mash the down arrow key on the font menu until I see that the two match.

 

There are also tools that can help, but they're not always reliable. For example:
