RobWebber Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 Hello, if there any way to link the hot key printscreen functions of windows with an automatic launch of Paint.NET... I have seen it with other programs where printscreen will launch the program and paste the printscreen into a new image and think it will speed up graphic work to have it automatically open. thanks in advance rob Quote
Zagna Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 PicPick can do that, just set paint.net as external program and parameter <%f>. Quote
Rick Brewster Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 I also find it's very useful to have Paint.NET pinned in the taskbar. Apps in the taskbar can be launched with WinKey + #, where # is a number. I have Paint.NET in the 4th spot so I can use WinKey + 4 to launch it. so when I want to do a screenshot, I'll press the appropriate Print Screen, then WinKey + 4, then Ctrl + Alt + V (Edit -> Paste into New Image) 1 Quote The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html
Ego Eram Reputo Posted October 14, 2017 Posted October 14, 2017 Slightly related: I've just found a workaround for the pasting from Firefox problem: The solution is to ignore the above error message (press OK to clear it). Then hit Ctrl + Shift + V a second time and the image will paste. Working with Win10, FF 56.0.1 (64-bit) & PDN 4.0.19.
