My1
I kinda find them from time to time and it's kinda sad that paint.net, my go-to-tool for DDS files, cant work with them yet. would be awesome if paint.net would support those in the future. BoltBait
Unfortunately, for you, DDS file support is not an active area for development in paint.net. However, perhaps one of the plugin coders could make something for you. Anyone? My1
this is honestly sad, because DDS was pretty much the reason I got paintnet in the first place (the gimp plugin wasnt really good at it and left artifacts all over the place)
BoltBait
Rick never wrote the DDS file type plugin anyway. One of the volunteer coders here at the forum, Dean Ashton, wrote it and Rick bundled into paint.net version 3.10 and it hasn't been touched since. Unfortunately, @Dean Ashton hasn't been posted here on the forums in over 10 years. But, you could always try sending him a PM and see if he responds. Other than that, I'm afraid you'll just have to wait until someone else comes along and volunteers to write a better DDS plugin. Rick Brewster
If someone wants to provide an updated DX10 DDS plugin, I'm willing to integrate it, but I don't have the resources to do it myself Quote The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html
