We're making this.

I know technically Viking Helmets don't have horns,  so a bit of artistic licence and an exercise in making textures and putting it all together.

@Seerose ... Thanks.  All the screenshots make it look daunting, but a lot are things like colours to use etc.  I wouldn't recommend sitting down and digesting it in one sitting, I think it took me 4 hours to write and I had to walk away a few times just to think ahead/ go back over some stages.

The beauty is you can always save and go back to it if there's sensory overload

@LionsDragon ... and you just need a big hairy Viking to go on the long ship to wear the helmet :P

@dipstick ... nice idea to include an emblem.  Reminds me of Every Which Way But Loose .  Thanks for trying it

Nothing wrong with a bit of girly bling ... nice job on the braided rim

Mush ...you're not wrong there.  My brain is turning to it trying to remember things :P

I might need dipstick's Brain Bucket before I've caught up

@dipstick ... see above.  Can i borrow it?  Nice job on the leather topping

@LionsDragon ... nothing wrong with not adding horns.  Tutorials are always there for people to run with and put their own take ( I'm planning ahead to make a face visor to replace them) Nice little scene you've got going on there.  Have a drink  for me

I hope you don't mind, this horn's filled with coffee. :) And thank you! I had the Viking Axe from a previous competition and had the wall from last year's Yuletide card, so the rest just kind of fell into place. Thanks for the inspiration!

For those that may not know, a "Brain Bucket" is an acronym for motorcycle helmet. The line of thinking is that your helmet acts like a bucket to keep your brain from spilling out during an accident. Helmets are sometimes called "Skid Lids", but Brain Bucket sounds more dramatic.

Nice job on your helmets Pixey and LionsDragon.

Wow....that was fun!!  Here's my take....a slightly more feminine helmet for all those warrior gals out there!   :P

The symbol is Odin's triple horn with valknut which I borrowed from the internet and embellished a bit.
