cloa513
Maybe this one of the popular feature requests? I don't want to see checkboard.
Rick Brewster
I don't really understand the question Quote The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html
Ego Eram Reputo
If you don't wish to see the checkerboard effect, add a new layer and fill it with a contrasting color. Move this new layer to the bottom of the layer stack. Note: the checkerboard effect indicates transparent areas. It won't show up in your image, provided you save it in a format which supports transparency (like *.PNG) Quote ebook: Mastering Paint.NET | resources: Plugin Index | Stereogram Tut | proud supporter of Codelab plugins: EER's Plugin Pack | Planetoid | StickMan | WhichSymbol+ | Dr Scott's Markup Renderer | CSV Filetype | dwarf horde plugins: Plugin Browser | ShapeMaker
cloa513
I had a problem with a certain file where showing the bottom layer would lead to any cut on the top layer goes through all layers.

cloa513
I want to be able to see the other layers when cutting.
Ego Eram Reputo
Cutting or erasing only affects the active layer (the one which has the highlight in the Layers window). Make sure the correct layer has the focus by clicking on it. Then you will only be cutting that layer. All the others will remain untouched.
