Firelight
Is there a way of resizing a layer in proportion to fit the background? Say like a percentage to keep proportion correct.
barbieq25
Hi Firelight. Have you tried Layers>Rotate/Zoom? If the layer you want to resize is a different shape to the background it will not be possible. What works best for me is to put the new background on a new layer, select the image & then use the move tool to drag it to the size required. It allows me the ratios to be seen easily & more easily adjusted. If the ratios are equal but the image is smaller or larger, hold the SHIFT key down while you drag. Ego Eram Reputo
An easier method might be: Press Ctrl + A to select all of the active layer. Press M to activate the Move tool Hold down Shift and drag out any of the corners. The Shift key keeps the Height and Width ratio the same as the layer is resized. 1 Quote ebook: Mastering Paint.NET | resources: Plugin Index | Stereogram Tut | proud supporter of Codelab plugins: EER's Plugin Pack | Planetoid | StickMan | WhichSymbol+ | Dr Scott's Markup Renderer | CSV Filetype | dwarf horde plugins: Plugin Browser | ShapeMaker

Adding a "scale" option to the UI under "Layers" would be useful. thanks, Bill
