IRON67
Test Effects -> Distort -> Polar Inversion... Edited March 25, 2017 by IRON67
Violetnred
can't get quite the result i need with that thing - it does bend the image, but i can't find good settings to be able to bend a piece of it in a described way. if my image above shows 180 degrees arch, then i was able to make 90 degrees one and even then it's ends were distorted. MJW
Use MadJik's Polar Transformation plugin with "transform rectangular to polar" selected. It will be under the Distort menu. It's kind of a finicky plugin: getting the exact result you're after may take a little experimentation with the scaling. I recommend using a square canvas, with the object to be transformed centered in the window. In order to get the half circle you want, make the object's length half the canvas width.
Eli
Follow MJW's post. You will need to distort your grid before using Polar Transformation. You can also use : - toe_heads' Spoked Wheel effect or - Red's Gears... effect. You will just need to do some erasing.
