Photography question

Recommended Posts

I am currently using my mom's Point and shoot to take photos and I feel like I am ready to buy my own camera. I have had a lot of people look at my photos and say that I should move up to DSLR Photography. Judging by these photos do you think that I should move up to DSLR?

Although I have almost no experience with photography myself, I believe that these photos are quite good. However, since this is not strictly related to Paint.NET, it would be best if you posted it in The Overflow. Thanks.

Yes, by all means! Your snake is a thing of beauty, and the landscape panorama shows talent. :)

Some tips (if you care for them):

  • [*:ai5ivsxp]DSLR all the way.
[*:ai5ivsxp]From what I've heard, Canon owns the field as of now.
[*:ai5ivsxp]If you're truly into it, buy a good Tripod. (Maybe you already have one.)
[*:ai5ivsxp]If you want some awesome lenses for your camera, try to win the lottery - or discover an efficient, renewable energy source... to put it plainly, plan on handing over some major cash.

v An excellent open–source strategy game—highly recommended.

If enough people agree with you than I will be getting a Canon rebel XTI, if not a Canon Powershot G9

This is the overflow.

...

This is the 2nd time in a week that I've mistaken the Overflow for the GD&Q. I'm truly sorry. What has gotten into me? :?

Yeah, the G9 is a great camera feature-wise. It is just extremely limited by the small size of the sensor...bad pics in low-light.

The nice thing about the dSLR's is the bigger sensors = higher quality(less noise)...
