skywalker89
Hi, I love PN, but am no master just use it to optimze and slightly(!) change images for my websites... Now, I wonder... I understand that psd or eps files contain layers, so it would help to adopt images I download from ie. bigstocki8mages, so I can for example copy just a single part of the whole image and change it or use only that etc.. move parts/layers easily or easily remove background, since that is only a layer...thats how I understand psd(ai files...that they contain all the data so I can more easily edit or change them, while as a png or jpg I can only do so much (ie. use the magic wand to eradicate the background, which is tedious work still and only works so well) So, am I correct that ai/psd files are more suited to create what I want and is tzhere a way I can really work with these files?? Thx a lot Dan Edited December 19, 2016 by skywalker89
IRON67
You can save images in PDN with multiple (and editable) layers as PDN-files. But in the end - on your website - you have to merge all the layers for saving as normal PNG-, JPG- or GIF-files. skywalker89
HI Iron, thank you... What is important to me is opening psd/ai/eps files and working with the different layers(?) in that, to then save it as ie. jpg. Thx a million Dan
