NSD 72
ShapeMaker is a great tool. Thanks to all those who contributed to the creation of this very professional plugin. I haven't read all the documentation, but I'm wondering if we can create shapes like the one in the picture below.
Ego Eram Reputo 2,838
I think that might be do-able. The problem will be that the breaks in the dashed line are going to play havoc with the fill color ( if you choose that option). If you don't care about that give it a go. 😨 1 Quote ebook: Mastering Paint.NET | resources: Plugin Index | Stereogram Tut | proud supporter of Codelab plugins: EER's Plugin Pack | Planetoid | StickMan | WhichSymbol+ | Dr Scott's Markup Renderer | CSV Filetype | dwarf horde plugins: Plugin Browser | ShapeMaker

Just remember to de-select the 'Link with Previous Path' button. So your shape will only be usable in 'Draw Shape Outline' mode. In below example, I color-filled the shape on a separate layer. 1 1 Quote My Art Gallery | My Shape Packs | ShapeMaker Mini Tut | Air Bubble Stained Glass Chrome Text with Reflections | Porcelain Text w/ Variegated Coloring | Realistic Knit PatternOpalescent Stained Glass | Frosted Snowman Cookie | Leather Texture | Plastic Text | Silk Embroidery Visit my Personal Website "Never, ever lose your sense of humor - you'll live longer"
Yiannis 0
I installed the shapemaker and created two lines. Next, I exported the creation as an svg file. I closed paint.net and after a few minutes, I opened it and tried to import the previously created svg file. I get the following error. << No Paths Found>> This is the file that i try to import <svg height="500" viewBox="0 0 500 500" width="500" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg"> <path d="M 240,40 C 260,10,330,20,340,40 C 200.83,65,61.67,90,30,100,70,10,74.17,105,150,100 M 228,152 C 273,200,318,185,351,128 M 110,180 S 120.39,193.56,120,200,114.61,216.44,110,220,164.47,276.26,300,270,350.85,278.58,340,290" fill="none" stroke="#000" stroke-width="1.0"></path> </svg>
toe_head2001 1,874
@Yiannis, I was able to import your SVG without issue. Please post a screenshot of ShapeMaker with that error message showing. 1 Quote My Gallery | My Plugin Pack Layman's Guide to CodeLab
Ego Eram Reputo 2,838
Confirmed. I was also able to import the geometry. I pasted the supplied SVG code into a new text file and saved it with a *.SVG extension. ShapeMaker loaded it without problem using File > Import Geometry. I saved it as a brand new SVG file using File > Export (SVG). That too was reopened without error. Yiannis 0
I'm trying to import the SVG file like File > Import Geometry. And then the error occurs. I use the paint.net ver 4.2.15 Below is the screen with the error.
Pixey 5,026
@Yiannis it's possible you may not have saved/named it properly. This how it should look and be brought into Paint.net. (I apologize for incorrectly suggesting you use another Plugin as I've never tried it before 😬 but now I know how to make one, and it worked for me too). toe_head2001 1,874
It could be another weird locale issue with text parsing. I'll investigate over the weekend. Quote My Gallery | My Plugin Pack Layman's Guide to CodeLab
NSD 72
Yes TH, you are right. It is about Decimal symbol for numbers - must be dot. If is comma the error is displayed. Edited Saturday at 07:42 AM by NSD
