Copying multiple layers at a time without flattening?

Recommended Posts

How about this:

Ctrl + A = Select All

Ctrl + Shift + C = Copy all visible layers (aka Copy Merged from the Edit menu).

then...

Ctrl + Alt + V  = paste into new image

or

Ctrl + Shift + V to paste into a new layer.

Except if I, for example, copy part of an image from layers 1, 2, and 3 when I paste it it is flattened instead of some on 1 some on 2 and some on 3.

I want to keep the layers separate.

There is no way to do that. You'll have to use Save As... & save the image as a PDN with another filename OR copy & paste the layers to the new image individually.

Dang! That really sucks. Any way to formally propose on adding this feature?
