Thank you Nom Bot,

Interesting effect. I wonder if a few options could be added such as:

- minimum size of cubes

- maximum size of cubes (bigger cubes)

- number of cubes

- line color

- other shapes : circle fitting,

Can you recognize my Rubix's cube?

OOPS!. I forgot : Welcome to the forums! :)

Thanks, everyone! Good to see people are finding uses for this thing ...

Next version will have line color option (easy) and hopefully some way to control the size of the boxes (not so easy)

@NomBot, I see you've posted an update. It is customary to update the topic's Title to include the most recent Release Date and/or Version Number. That way people can see if there's an update (or not) without having to open the topic. :)

(September 25th, 2023)  Sorry about any broken images in my posts. I am aware of the issue.

not even sure how you did that, but the color balance works ...

Hello @Newcomer and Welcome to the forum :)

As @NomBot hasn't logged in since 2017 I will try to answer your question.

1.  You first download his plugin `~ unzip it and save to the Effects Folder in paint.net.

2.  Import a picture (he used one with a head)

3.  Then go to ~ Effects ~ Artistic ~ BoxFitting

Good Luck!

1.5 Restart Paint.net ;) (otherwise the plugin won't show up in the Effects > Artistic menu)

Hmm ... newer versions of Paint.NET let you use the ColorWheel control that includes an alpha slider. Think this effect could be updated to use that?

This is done by setting the min/max value of the Int32 property to min=Int32.MinValue, max=Int32.MaxValue. @BoltBait contributed this enhancement :)
