LionsDragon's Gallery--For My Next Number, the Music of the Spheres!

This is Marion, one of the sisters to Eddie from "Poison Blue." These two are part of a larger piece, but I really wanted to show off her dress. Marion is painted from a model. The diamond is from @welshblue's "Metallic Marble Text," the hair is built from brushes from DeviantArt--and everything else is pure PDN. That includes the pearls on the jacket and the lace on the jacket back (second image).

She positively glows @LionsDragon :star: That dress is gorgeous and shimmers like silk.  I also love her chain-mail head dress :D.  Wowzers!  Great piece of work ❤️.

@Pixey...ooh, potato! You're right. I tried to make a lace veil and made armor instead. ?

Then again, Marion's so shy she probably wouldn't mind....

Ohhhhh - I'm so sorry :mrred: ................ silly me!  I saw the crown and assumed it was very fine chain ................ much like lace, of course ?.  Upon looking at her again, that could also be ringlets .............. :D

Don't be sorry! You caught something I totally overlooked, and isn't that what we're here for? :) You've confirmed that I did the right thing in forcing myself to take a break from this project; I need to focus on something else for a while and look at this with fresh eyes. Thank you!

When I DO allow myself to go back to it, I'm gonna tinker with lace for a while. :) Thanks for catching that!

You're very understanding @LionsDragon - I really feel bad though ?  Please don't give up, she is really something and that dress is outstanding.  You have that glow going on and I noticed that in something you posted a few days ago, I think it was one of MadJik's Plugins, a tree perhaps. No, it was a fern ........... it had that wonderful shimmer.   Kepp up the great work - don't stop whatever you do :star:.

(I've had a bad week of making faux pas - my bad!) ?

No worries, I'm not giving up! I've got so, SO much work into this project already...not wasting it. :) I just realized that I've been working on it so intensely that I could  no longer see it clearly. I think the part where I did a hypothetical reconstruction of an ancient royal court from Mutapa should have been a clue tbh....

And thank you! I'm fascinated by the play of light and color, so when I can make that happen in PDN it makes my week! :) Actually, the crystal fern is going to be part of an enchanted garden that will hopefully have the same glow.

And hon, if it makes you feel any better I'm having the same kind of week. The cringe is real, but part of being human. Don't feel bad!

Thank you so much for that @LionsDragon ❤️

We all get that 'blind spot' when working on an image.  I think it was @barbieq25 who first advised me when I started with PDN to stop every now and then, go for a walk, make a cup of tea, then come back and look at the image again.  It can look totally different after that.  Someone also mentioned to me, when painting portraits, to flip the image every now and then, which wakes up that lazy eye that happens when you work so long on something.

Looking forward to the enchanted garden  smileys-blumen-851478.gif

@LionsDragon, I'm no expert but it looks pretty and well executed to me. And you did very well on the background. That's always a toughie for me.

Not quite an enchanted garden, but for me a garden of enchantment.... This is the follow-up to "Flowerland in Winter." I've decided to make a piece for each season, and possible a few more.

This is...well, this was actually the view from my mother's kitchen window.

What a beautiful setting :)  So lush and green and I too wonder what might be awaiting - besides the fairies - in the depths of the trees ??

The flowers (some maybe bluebells?) are just perfect.  What a great spot for a picnic ?️

Love it! @LionsDragon   <3    The way the sun rays are coming in and illuminating certain parts of the garden...spot on!

Another peaceful and mood-elevating piece!  Thank you...?
