change hardness permanently

Is there a way to do this?  I want the hardness to be 100%, if possible.  Same goes for cursor in paint.net.  Never can find tiny "+".  Thank you.

In paint.net, click the gear icon in the upper right corner. Then, click the Tools tab.

Thank you so much.  Kept looking for *option* tab.  Can anything be done to change the tiny "+" to a mouse pointer somehow.  Age 70  kinda hard to find plus sometimes.

As a work around, you can enable this option (outlined in red) in the Windows Control Panel:

If things are too small, have you considered increasing the DPI setting? This can make everything bigger, and affects all applications. How you do this will depend on which version of Windows (7, 8, 10) you're using.

Using windows 10 by the way.  Toe_Head 2001, I also tried your suggestion.  I hold down the ctrl key and left click the mouse.
