I just downloaded paint.net a few times on a windows vista laptop (its not mine), it worked well untill need to start it from winrar. It always says Windows 7 Sp1 pr higher need, even I already used to start the program. To start the program I always have to open it in the winrar folder and reinstall it every single time... The latest version that will run under Vista is 3.5.11. We only provide support for the latest version of paint.net here on the forum. So you can't download it from here - or get help with problems. If you really can't upgrade to a more recent version of Windows - I suggest you try Google to find v3.5.11. Good luck.
