Punkotronic
Been searching around the forums and such, I don't know why he's banned. Searched him in members and his name did not pop up. I did see him posting about people sending him rude messages on a flower tut.
Pixey
And you did this search - why? Suffice it to say he was one of PDN's best and most talented contributors, and is sadly missed. Thankfully he left behind a slew of amazing tutorials - which you can learn from. It is not relevant for you to know why he was banned. Punkotronic
Alright, was just curious because he has good pdn talent. It was odd to me why he didn't post in 2015 or 2016. Edited June 25, 2016 by Punkotronic
Ego Eram Reputo
He was banned in 2014. Later rumored to have passed away. I was unable to confirm it though. Pixey
Thanks so much for letting us know @Helen. I always thought that the report of his demise was premature. I hope too, that you are doing OK - I think of you often . Woodsy
I am also glad to hear he is well! I learned quite a bit from his tuts before I joined the forum and I also miss seeing his handiwork. I wish there were some way he could come back on a probationary basis! I'm sure I am not the only one who would benefit from his participation. Thank you Helen for letting us know he is well. Also hope to hear more from you! My PDN Gallery
Maximilian
Thanks for the input, Helen. I'm also glad he's okay. I didn't get to know him, but I am familiar with some of his tutorials and posts from the times when I used to lurk the forums years before becoming a formal member
HELEN
@Pixey and to everyone else: I've had a pretty rough year this year ever since the diagnosis. I've been in a car accident, but doing much better and my computer has been totally wiped out--still waiting for my computer to be fixed. However, I'm doing okay. Please don't worry. Life happens that way. I am still using Paint.NET and I visit this forum every day, but don't always comment. 1 Don't spit into the well, you might drink from it later. -----Yiddish ProverbGlossy Galaxy Ball---How to Make FoliageMy Gallery PDN Fans--My DA
Si Borg
Good news about welshblue, I too have learnt a lot from his tutorials (and Yellowman) and must admit what I have read by going through the forums - a great sense of humour. Bad news about yourself though Helen. I wish you well and hope things turn around for you (I know what it's like when a vehicle come to a sudden stop) and if you speak to welshblue soon tell him thanks from a new user

Ego Eram Reputo
WelshBlue's exit (Wexit?) took up a lot of resources. The discussions between the Mods alone spanned two months, two threads and ran well over 100 posts. There were also quite a number of side discussions (PM's & emails) going on trying to sort the issue(s) out. Other users were caught in the blast too. Their feelings would need to be taken into account. I'm not committing myself (or anyone else) on the subject of a possible return. All I'm saying is that it would be..... considered*. * and I'm choosing this word very carefully 1 ebook: Mastering Paint.NET | resources: Plugin Index | Stereogram Tut | proud supporter of Codelab plugins: EER's Plugin Pack | Planetoid | StickMan | WhichSymbol+ | Dr Scott's Markup Renderer | CSV Filetype | dwarf horde plugins: Plugin Browser | ShapeMaker
Si Borg
It would be interesting what he does with the newer versions and all the great new plug-ins since 2014. Ishi
I have joined the forum prior to his peak as a contributor but I pay my respects to such talent. I suggest compiling all his Paint.NET tutorials from this forum and other fan forums into a free downloadble PDF, neatly arranged with a table of contents and editor's notes with a donate link to the one who compiled it of course. In this way, his legacy is preserved and compiled into one book where newbies and new converts to PDN can learn and where veterans can reminisce. Not everyone will agree with that but I think it can help.
Ego Eram Reputo
Nice idea Ishi. Unfortunately there are copyright issues to consider. We are not the author - so we don't have any authority to create a WelshBlue Megalo Pack. WelshBlue removed a lot of material from the forum prior to his own removal. While it is possible to simply replace this, it is not right to do so. Tutorials need to be rewritten and/or have new images created. Its a large task for anyone to take on. ebook: Mastering Paint.NET | resources: Plugin Index | Stereogram Tut | proud supporter of Codelab plugins: EER's Plugin Pack | Planetoid | StickMan | WhichSymbol+ | Dr Scott's Markup Renderer | CSV Filetype | dwarf horde plugins: Plugin Browser | ShapeMaker
