freetrial Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 Hi, my computer have problem displaying the right size of the tool/color/history/layers windows. they are always maximized and cover the rest of software interface. They can not be resized. The only choice is to close them. I am using Windows XP SP2 with dual LCD display(1280x1024) supported by a radeon x700 video card. Thanks. Quote
BoltBait Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 If the tool windows are really really big, then you most likely have something like ATI HydraVision (or another "multimonitor manager" type program) installed. Historically, that has always been the cause, and disabling or uninstalling these not-very-useful programs always fixes it. freetrial Posted July 24, 2008 Author Posted July 24, 2008 Thanks for your reply. I uninstalled the hydravision and after reboot, the tool and color windows are back to normal, but not the history and layer window. What should I do next? Quote
BoltBait Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 How about... Windows > Reset window locations :?: Quote Download: BoltBait's Plugin Pack | CodeLab | and a Free Computer Dominos Game
BoltBait Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 Can you resize these windows by hand? If not, show us a screenshot. Quote Download: BoltBait's Plugin Pack | CodeLab | and a Free Computer Dominos Game
BoltBait Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 freetrial, I'm glad it worked out! Rick, I have confirmed that "Windows > Reset window locations" does not also reset the floating window sizes back to default. Shouldn't it also do this? bEPIK Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 Perhaps make another button? Example: Window > Return to Default Size Quote Water, Wood and Hair Tutorial
Rick Brewster Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 That's why it's called Reset Window Locations. It doesn't change the size. Quote The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html
