Popsicali
Hello,i was wondering if anyone could offer me some advice.I have been using pdn for a while now. More recently after the 4.0.9 update, i have noticed that when editing larger files with a high ppi and lots of layers, If i try to apply some effects it has a loading bar for a ridiculously long time and sometimes does not recover. It is a huge inconvenience as i cant fully pin point when its going to happen except for on larger files. I currently only have one plug in which has (as far as I can tell) been working fine. Is there anything i can do to help this? or is it a case of having to merge layers down if i can?Thankyou in advance.
Ego Eram Reputo
It may be that the size of the images are the cause of poor performance. What are the image sizes (WxH) and how many layers do you typically have? Open the settings > Diagnostics dialog and copy your system specs into a post here so we can see what hardware you have. toe_head2001
Just to clarify, this happens after you've clicked on the 'OK' button in the effect? and it gets stuck on the "Finishing..." dialog? Or the "Rendering... ##%" dialog? Quote (June 9th, 2023) Sorry about any broken images in my posts. I am aware of the issue. Red ochre
Trying to cancel inner shadow tool. Is that the object or selection version?... Just a hunch, probably wrong, ( I'm not experienced with either), but if the effect is expecting an object and the whole layer is opaque? ... just thoughts... ignore me! Rick Brewster
Sounds like a bug in the plugin, or it's just not optimized. toe_head2001
any ideas how to optimize a plugin? That is something the author of the plugin needs to do. BoltBait
any ideas how to optimize a plugin? Do you have this problem with ALL plugins, or just specific ones? If it is just specific ones, list them here. Quote Download: BoltBait's Plugin Pack | CodeLab | and a Computer Dominos Game
