moving images

i'm new to paint.NEt, and i'm having trouble trying to figure out moving lmages when i layer them. i layer one image then layer another, but i want to go back and move the first image i layered. but i can't figure out how. i tried clicking on the layer and moving it but that doesn't work.

i'm not sure if i posted this in the righ place

In order for part of the image to be moved in Paint.NET, it must be selected. You can press [Ctrl]+[A] to select the entire layer, or use the marquee selection tools to select the specific parts you want to move.

Paste the image in a new layer and blur (Effects > Blurs > Gaussian Blur) the borders.

Oh, sorry, you have to select the borders (what you want to blur) and apply the effect.

I'm making some examples.
