Craftist
Hello everybody. Now I'm (I hope not only me) looking for plugin that can move all what in selection to the canvas center. For example, I have something like that: And I want to make it like this: I select text: Then I open the plugin... And click at center square: Then click at "apply" button and look what could happen: I hope my idea is simple. If this plugin already exists, write here. KTHXBYE. AgentGoodspeed
There is already a plug-in called Object Align, available in this pack: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?showtopic=8375
MJW
As AgentGoodspeed points out, Object Align does something similar. It's a very useful plugin, which most every PDN user should install. I'll add that the original proposed method isn't possible, since a plugin can't move the text outside the selection that's in place when the plugin is run. Plugins can't change the selection or write outside the selection.
Ego Eram Reputo
Object Align works on groups of pixels on a transparent layer (an 'object'). You don't need to make a selection around the object if it is the only element on the layer. Just run the plugin. MJW
In fact, if you have a selection, Object Align will center the object relative to the selection boundary. The object to be centered must be inside the selection.
Eli
I Just would like to mention TR's PseudoSnap effect that allows other types of alignments.
