How Do I Install Onto SD

Recommended Posts

That's probably not a good idea since your SD card will not always be present in your system.

A better way is to install it normally to your HDD, then copy your c:\Program Files\Paint.NET\ directory to your SD card.

When you move the SD card to another computer, navigate to that directory and run PaintDotNet.exe

Paint.NET doesn't take up much space. Your Steam games will easily take up 1000x the amount of space (e.g. 30 MB versus 30 GB). I highly recommend against trying to force Paint.NET onto an SD card like this.

He means installing paint.net onto a removable media when paint.net is not designed for that.

And like I said, it had a fatal error of some sort.

Try using this utility, so we can know what's specifically happening:

  • 2 weeks later...

MSI (s) (1C:74) [23:06:32:336]: Product: paint.net -- Error 1316. The specified account already exists.

Try using this utility to remove any traces of previous installations https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/mats/program_install_and_uninstall
