To find out what specifically is causing it, you'll need to create a installation log file. Edit: Use this tool: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?showtopic=107908 Run this command on the downloaded install file: paint.net.4.0.9.install.exe /CreateMsi /autoAnd then run this command on the generated msi file: msiexec /i "%UserProfile%\Desktop\PaintDotNetMsi\PaintDotNet_x64.msi" /L*V "%UserProfile%\Desktop\pdn.log"The log file of the installation should be on your desktop.
