LadyG1951
Hi ! I hope someone can help me. The layer tool is not working, and it will not open. It stopped working last night. My computer is a Dell Inspirion 15, the 7000 series, that is a year old. OS: Windows 10.0 Memory: 6,055MB Process Mode: 64 bit Speed: 2195 MHZ I was unable to copy and paste the settings report because Paint.net would not let me do it. There are no files to attach. Any other people having this problem ?? Could there be a bug in the system ? I hope that you can help me as soon as possible. Thank You , LadyG1951
toe_head2001
... The layer tool is not working, and it will not open. It stopped working last night. Perhaps you could go into more detail of your issue. What specifically is not working? Is it the Layers window that won't open? What happens when your press the F7 key on your keyboard while you are working in paint.net? LadyG1951
Hi There, The layer will not open at all ! Nothing works, When Paint.net opens a exported item, there is no screen that opens on the lower right bottom of the screen. No Background screen. The F7 key does nothing at all. What I was wondering Should I uninstall it and then reinstall it. could it be a corrupted file or some glitch in the program ? What do you think ? I do recolors and custom content for the Sims 4 game. Thank you for your quick reply. LadyG1951
LadyG1951
Hi toe_head2001, I decided to uninstall and reinstall Paint.net. That went fine, but the same problem remains. The layering tool does not work at all, and F7 doesn't work. It would be just to easy ! Thanks, Ladyg1951
BoltBait
If you have multi-monitor setup, check your other monitors for the layer window. Or, check the edges of your screen for it. Maybe it is hiding under your taskbar? If nothing else works, try running this program: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?app=core&module=attach§ion=attach&attach_rel_module=post&attach_id=10203 Quote Click to play: Download: BoltBait's Plugin Pack | CodeLab | and how about a Computer Dominos Game

Please don't go there; obviously that's not true based on your post. Perhaps this will be helpful: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/31884-restoring-lost-windows/ You are using the words "layer" and "screen" very loosely, so maybe we don't understand your issue correctly. Are you able to take a screenshot of the issue you're seeing, and post it here? LadyG1951
Hi Everyone , Thank you very much. I am new to Painter's.net, and although I am learning fast, I really thought that the layering tool was not working. Please don't be mad at me !
