heathersharmony
Is there a way to separate posterized colors of an image into separate layers.....each color on its own layer. I would like to do this and then run the pixelcounter plugin for each layer and also print off each layer to make a layered stencil or papercut. Thanks! Ego Eram Reputo
1. Magic wand using the Shift key modifier will select all the instances of the target color. 2. Ctrl + C to copy it to the clipboard 3. Ctrl + Shift + V = paste into a new layer Quote ebook: Mastering Paint.NET | resources: Plugin Index | Stereogram Tut | proud supporter of Codelab plugins: EER's Plugin Pack | Planetoid | StickMan | WhichSymbol+ | Dr Scott's Markup Renderer | CSV Filetype | dwarf horde plugins: Plugin Browser | ShapeMaker
Eli
Hello Heather, As far as I know, the plugins of effects work only on one layer. So I think it will have to be done layer by layer. Can you post the posterized image? Post-Edit: I was thinking of EER method above. Since there are probably several colors in your image it will be faster if you change the Flood Mode to GLOBAL before using the magic wand. Eli
1. Change the Flood Mode to GLOBAL 2. Use the magic wand and click on one of the colors (Red in the example above). Everything that is red will be selected. 3. Press Ctrl+C to copy the selected areas to the clipboard. 4. Add a new layer and press Ctrl + V to paste it. Repeat all the steps for each color. Ego Eram Reputo
1. Change the Flood Mode to GLOBAL 2. Use the magic wand and click on one of the colors (Red in the example above). Everything that is red will be selected. Holding down the Shift key while making a magic wand selection does the same as setting the Global flood mode.
