CrazyRubes
While I was able to get 4.0.9 installed OK, the performance optimization crashed. I am using Windows 7 x64. This is more for a possible bug as I think Paint.Net is working otherwise. I got a couple error messages each of which appeared twice. One is in the attached image, the other was a Com surrogate message which I wasn't quite sure how to capture the entire error. I also saw this in the event viewer during that time, but I'm not positive it has to do with what I saw or not. I was not doing anything else at the time, though. Rick Brewster
Faulting module name: ffmpeg.dll I'm pretty sure this isn't a Paint.NET bug. dipstick
...And what's ffmpeg.dll doing in the system32 folder? I use ffmpeg all the time, yet never encountered an ffmpeg.dll is system32 or any folder for that matter. Unless you have some strange GUI (I haven't encountered) that uses ffmpeg for encoding? Rick Brewster
I don't know but the crash isn't coming from Paint.NET. It's a separate process entirely that's crashing (dllhost.exe, hosting ffmpeg.dll).
