BoltBait
It was a pretty thin year in the old BoltBait household, but the big hit with the kids was: Mario Kart 8 for the Wii + one steering wheel attachment for each kid. They are having such a good time. I just told them to take a break and go outside to play in the snow. We have about a foot of snow. 1 Quote Click to play: Download: BoltBait's Plugin Pack | CodeLab | and how about a Computer Dominos Game

Ishi
We got some rather very generous folks right here. Nah, I feel bad looking like some cheapo by not having to show off like you guys. And even worse by not giving anything to the girl I'm interested with who kinda dumped me and not talking to me anymore when I'm this guy who secretly thinks I'm the solution to many of her problems. But yeah, its not always giving that counts.
Si Borg
Not showing off Ishi. My children are very important to me and any helping hand in their future I can give is a small price to pay. After three years of university my son will be approximately £27,000 in debt to the government for tuition fees so anything that sweetens that pill and helps him out I will do. And make no apologies for it. My daughter is still in school and also works 2 jobs to pay for her car/ phone etc so a helping hand towards extortionate insurance costs is her reward for having a work ethos at the age of 17. I personally didn't receive one gift for Christmas as I asked everyone to donate monies to Homeless charities, and my children also know that the gifts will have a price - helping out in a soup kitchen once a month. So their giving will mean far more to others than spending money on things I don't need. Also receiving a lesson not to take anything for granted. Ishi
Of course I was kidding on my previous post. That's very generous, thoughtful and selfless Si Borg. I wish I could do the same somehow. Thanks for sharing Si Borg and hopefully, many more of us would learn from your example.
lynxster4
Younger son: some shooter computer game and his fav chocolate-covered pretzels (didn't get him too much as he still lives with his momma!) Older son: a new computer which my younger son & I will build for him (I gave him a photocopy of a computer in his card - sneaky), money (we will refurbish the old computer and give to my grandson so he has his own) Granddaughter: iTunes gift card, misc. items and money for clothes Grandson: some shooter computer game (probably same one as younger son because they all play together; father, son and uncle), misc. items, money for clothes And myself: a brand new electric range, not by design. My old one (over 20 years old) went two weeks ago in a shower of sparks and weird electrical noises, When everything was shut off and the smoke had cleared we found the right half of the heating element was completely melted! I thanked God that my house didn't burn down. Someone up there still likes me. They are having such a good time. I just told them to take a break and go outside to play in the snow. We have about a foot of snow. BoltBait, you have to be in northern Cal? I know the mountains out west are getting pounded. We had the warmest Christmas on record here in PA. Christmas Day we were outside on the front porch in shorts! As of this writing, it's getting more seasonal, but we have yet to get snow. Thank El Nino for this strange winter weather. Djisves
Plane tickets and hotel accommodation for a 4-day shopping trip to Athens for 4 people, on January 2nd. That was the cheap part. I dread the bill for the shopping part.

The Sierra Nevadas and descending into the valley was breathtaking! Some gorgeous scenery out there. I realize now we went through Tahoe National Forest. Stay warm! I see the hammer coming down on us soon.
