Copy and paste with DPI

Yes, this is correct, pasting into and within Paint.NET dissolves the DPI automatically to 96. Opening the image in Paint.NET, on the other hand, will retain the DPI of your image.

If you are posting onto a new canvas, you will have to set the new canvas resolution with the DPI of the incoming image, then paste.

A few extra seconds, no more.
