brandon.roeder
I was browsing another forum, and i came across an animated png. Does anyone know of a program to do this? Thanks Quote My DA|My Gallery|My Website
Yata
When firefox 3 was early in development I heard of a program that creates them, but it was shareware and I forget it's name. I expect there to be (if not already) a fair amount of freeware alternatives with Firefox's support for them. jake2k
Get FireFox 3 and install the apng editor, then open FF and go to "Tools" and click "APNG Editor". A new window that's mostly blank will pop up and down at the bottom is your first frame, you can load the frame from a url, open a file from your computer, or leave it blank. As soon as you choose your image a new frame will pop up next to your image. When you load a frame with an image it will give you some extra options, these include, frame compositing, image offset within frame, time to delay before next frame, and load a new source image for the frame. On the right hand side of the screen theres a way to crop your animation, and some "looping" options. So basically you make your frames in PDN then open APNG Editor, load your frames, set your time delay, and hit "save animation". Then you can upload it to your favorite image hosting site and enjoi Quote ^Click to visit my Flickr Gallery^
scudder5000
Jake2k I did that. Then when I went to look at it it wasn't animated. I uploaded it to photobucket. This is what I made. When I right clicked on the image properties it says its 52.65 kb. On my computer it's 1.73 MB. Any one have an answer. Quote My Gallery

Crazy Man Dan
Photobucket has a max file size of 1MB unless you pay a premium subscription. The server-side scaledown probably breaks the embedded animation. 007 Nab
Image shack is 1.5, but in this case that still isn't enough... Try saving it weith a lot more quality loss, or less frames.
