Simon Brown
Paint.NET Effect Installation Right-Click Menu Option 1.3 Consider this deprecated. If you want to remove it, i've attached an uninstaller to this post. Until now installing an effect plugin meant unzipping a compressed archive, opening a new explorer window, locating the paint.net effects folder and copying the file. Those days are now over. PluginInstaller adds a new item to the right-click menu of each ZIP file, when clicked this will install the contents as a plugin, meaning that the process of installing an effects plugin now only consists of moving to the parent directory, right-clicking on the folder and selecting the "install" option. Andrew D
I can think of quite a few problems already: 1. It's likely that the program is able to "install" non-PDN effects. 2. Some effects may use pre-created .ini files or other types of storing data. 3. Pressing the menu by accident could severly damage your OS, especially if, for example I'm busy doing things in the System Files. Any way you could prevent things like the above? Simon Brown
3. Pressing the menu by accident could severly damage your OS, especially if, for example I'm busy doing things in the System Files. It doesn't delete the file after installation. ----- As for the other two, I may include this in future, but I can tell you that Paint.NET simply ignores the files. Yata
Sweet! I asked for this a few times in the past. Downloading now, will edit post to reflect my attempt. Edit: Works perfectly. kirby145
I installed a fresh ton of plugins yesterday with this. Thank you. Only suggestion is after you install like 10 plugins you have 10 windows that say plugin installed, that's just kind of silly "By trying to reinvent the wheel every time we find very often with square wheels" ...X-blaster

Simon Brown
Mehr,I like mine better From my perspective they have very different purposes. PEIRCMO was intended to ease the installation of plugins, while PDNPM seems to be more orientated towards removing certain plugins temporarily. D3z
Is it possible to have a window that gives you more than one option e.g to install it as a filetype or a font, maybe even a pallete or brush. Then just have it set to effect by default to people can just click -> if they dont want to install other things often.
