Simon Brown
Although this is old news, I still believe it is an interesting topic to discuss. What are your thoughts on Google FriendConnect announced a while ago. Do you believe it will allow the web to become more social, or have many security implications that cause problems to users and cause the system to fall down under a bad reputation? Speed Demon
i see now, it sounds interesting, it has the potential to end the anonymity of the web and put a face to an IP address. It would be a great marketing tool for businesses but ad companies would love it even more, who needs tracking cookies when you can just store info on who visits what by looking at Google friend connect. what are your thoughts Sabrown? Simon Brown
Just one thing, you have to authorise before the site is allowed to access any of your data and nothing stops people having seperate IDs for seperate communities.

Stephan
It sounds okay for people like the ones in the video, who want to distribute their guacamole recepies over their friends. I don't see commericial applications though, like in that Google Application framework. It's just too... "Googley" to get a lot of profit out of it, if any.
