See this link for specs, http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductPrint.aspx?Item=N82E16883227079

Sounds really hardcore.

Custom Build, if not which company? Toshiba

Laptop or Desktop: Laptop

OS: Windows Vista Home Premium

Processor: AMD Turlonx2 64

Motherboard: Don't know

Video/Graphics: ATI Radeon

How much HD space? 160 gigs

How much RAM? 2 gigs

And may I just say that in Vista, the User Control thing is absolutely useless.

Nice, well mine's rated at 9GHz (I would rate it as "4x3.3GHz" 'couse that's what it is and that's the only rating that is actually useful) only 1 cpu though

Anyways, why didn't you just get a 8800GT? Not very expensive.. but massively better

I would write plugins, if I knew what kind of plugins were needed.. :(

I would go with a ATI RADEON HD 4870... Way better. (IMO) 8)

Well, yes, because the price's are more then 100€ apart... Hell, I could buy 2 8800GT's for the price of a 4870. I even think that 2 8800GT's has a better or comparable performance, even though the cards are 2 generations apart.

Oh yes that would have been bad

I wouldn't have any trouble, I have a case that fits eATX mobo's (but I just put an ATX one in)

Could fit a SkullTrail into it hmm.. (nah too expensive.. 2 QX9775's is far out of my current budget.. they own though)

Not extremely bad..

I have a couple of computers with 133MHz CPU's

(I don't use them though)

Idea: let's also post the 3DMark score and PDN Benchmark if available, will make for some good comparisons

So I'll start I guess:

3DMark06: about 13k

PDNBench: 19750 milliseconds

that was with (a quick recap, full details can be found a couple of pages back):

3.3GHz (333x10) QX6850

4GB DDR2 RAM @ 820MHz (Corsair TwinX C5 matched pair) (those 20MHz's didn't seem to make any difference, but whatever)

XFX GeForce 8800GTS 640MB (stock speed, the thing is hot enough already)

XP Pro x64

(anyone interested in driver versions? too bad, I updated them, not a clue what they were back then)

It'll be cheaper if you make it yourself

With the added benefit that you could put a free copy of XP Pro x64 on it instead of a paid version of vista (for around 2% extra gaming performance and 80% less annoyances)

edit: the CPU is vastly underpowered though, and it only has 1 PCIe16 slot so no SLI/CrossFire upgrade is possible

I would write plugins, if I knew what kind of plugins were needed.. :(
