JBagg2010
ok I am a Paint.net novice. I was creating an avatar for someone and I'm using 3 seperate pictures. One is the background with the other two on top of the first. The backgrounds on the other two are white and I need them to be transparent. ZizOiz
Welcome to the forums! try these two places: making backgrounds of images transparent & if that doesn't help, the image hospital Quote Click on my signature image for my gallery | hmmmm... Chris Deston
Personally i'd cut the two images by hand like in the Cutting Out Images the Easy Way tutorial, then paste them in separate layers where you can move them about and alter them later, changing their opacity if needed. I find that leaves bits of noise around the original stock and end up fiddling with the tolerance over and over This'd also be good practice for when cutting images on busier backgrounds in the future need transparent backgrounds.
