futbolfrank
Hello all, I just started using paint.net and had a really quick (probably easy question) When one wants to create a shaped picture i.e. rounded rectangle, is it possible to have the shape not a rectangle when a exported? For example, although it may seem like there is no corners on a white page, there are still those little triangles still present. Is there a way to remove those things? Thanks
Mike Ryan
Save as a .PNG to retain transparency
Mike Ryan
Oh wait, never mind. I wasnt sure what you were talking about for a second. Those are due to aliasing issues, for instance drawing a white rounded rectangle on a black backgroud and then using the magic wand to remove it. Draw your rounded rectangle on another layer and then delete the background color.

Simon Brown
is there any drawbacks to ALWAYS saving as .png? If as a replacement to JPEG or GIF there will normally be an increase in file size. And in certain circumstances a certain format is needed.
