Your book was a great help. I also bought the one by McCullough. Your book explained a lot of the questions I had. The major reason I downloaded Paint.net was to make maps for the world I created for my book series. I had looked at other programs and Paint.net is the best one for me. Since I am self-publishing, I needed a fast way to get a couple book covers done. After reading the book, I am happily playing around with designs. Kind of cuts into my writing time. Will have to buy more storage for the pics. I haven't downloaded any of the plugins yet. Thanks for writing this book.
