Also, I am using and creating .ABR brushes in Paint.net but can only use them with Effects ~Tools~Brush Mini. Is it possible to use them within the same main screen of the image? Any advice or help would be deeply appreciated! Thanks in advance.
Hi,
I would strongly recommend you use Dynamic Draw as it allows you to load the ABR brushes.

I have been following this thread because it was intriguing, but I cannot help wondering if the end result is planning to be similar to @TechnoRobboPanoPDN Panoramic Viewer:
-
Have you tried running Gaussian Blur at 200px?
-
I think it is possible and you will have to search through the plug-in to find the best text plug-in to render the text in that format. I believe @xod made one. Also search online for similar font, download and install the font. There are instructions online how to install font.
1) Remove white background using Magic Wand and delete the white background so that you are working on transparent layer. Make two layers, one for white background, and another to manipulate the sign.
2) Use lasso selection tool and carefully select around Redskins and then delete.
3) Use the text plug-in to render word that you want to replace.
4) When you are satisficed, flatten the image (Image > Flatten), and save as PNG file.
Edit:
I think this plug-in will work for you.

Thanks for the technical advice and I’ll certainly keep them in mind when shopping.

From the FAQ:
(1) Will it ever be ported to Mac OS, GNU/Linux, or any other operating system?
(2) What about Mono support? Wouldn't that be really easy?
We will not be doing any work to directly support Mac OS, Linux, Mono, or any other platform. We are doing this in order to focus on the best quality and support for the platform that we develop on: Windows with .NET. Also, we simply do not have the resources or expertise to do any of this work.

I like the multi-colored brackets as I think it will make reading codes easier as I sometime get lost in reading the sequencing.

What do you mean? It works on any Windows PC, but I'm guessing you mean something more specific?
I am wondering if Paint.NET will work on Surface Pro tablet or would it be best to stick with desktop and laptop. In other words, would there be any performance difference between Surface Pro and the desktop and/or laptop?
Edit: Reason I'm inquiring is I am shopping for a tablet, and Surface Pro tend to pop up in mind as something I could use for mobility. I have already been disappointed with my small form PC (purchased from MinisForums) after discovering that Windows 11 will not be supported without making a risky registry change.

Hey Rick.
I don't know whether this has been asked before, but I'd rather ask and look foolish than not to ask at all...would the current, and future, iteration of Paint.NET work on Microsoft Surface or would it be best to stick with desktop or laptop?
-
First, I would try Content Aware Fill to remove the reflection from the van.
You may have to make selection(s) in order for the reflection to be removed. I am not confident that the plug-in will solve your first major hurdle, but I'm curious if that may work.

That's it, I was trying to find where I asked if tabs could be put in the UI, and the thread of Creative Text Pro had it all along. Yes, it looks better organized. I am eager to read the source code so I can understand how tabs works.
-
I am really excited about the addition of tabs in UI, and that was something I once asked about, and I believe BoltBait said that Indirect UI does not allow tabs. I think that will help improve a lot of the plug-ins that have tallish interface by rearranging the interface, as BoltBait said, logically.

@TrevorOutlawI tried it via sobel operation and while it works, the fact that an outline goes around the pixels, instead of occupying the same spot as the pixels, makes it in some cases look pretty ugly, e.g. with the dots brush. Muddy/dirty textures also end up with scribbly looking outlines. I could do what Pixlr probably does and set some kind of alpha threshold, but then you're not seeing the full brush shape. Far easier to just render the brush at half opacity as the cursor (this is actually less work in terms of performance too). Does that work? Is there a reason you'd want the outline instead? I'd think using the actual brush at half opacity as the cursor will lead to the best ability to line up pixels before clicking.
I’ll go with whatever you think will work best. It sounds like the outline might be trickier. -
This plug-in has truly come a long way! The sheer amount of effort is just incredible and the implementation of Brush Filter into this is just mind-numbing blowing.

1) I would like to see the square brush be replaced with an outline geometry of the brush file. It would make it easier for me to see where I am painting, especially when performing pre-masking paint for my photo manipulations.
@NinthDesertDude I really appreciate all the hard work that went into making DynamicDraw and it is bringing PDN closer to the same level as Gimp and Kirta. I thought I’d would revisit this since the request to use ABR brushes has been successfully implemented with @null54supporting the efforts.
If the quoted request is not feasible, then I will consider the matter closed. Thank you again for all the hard work. DynamicDraw is one of my go-to tools within PDN.

I haven’t played with BoltBait Text plug-in but that’s where I would look at first to decorate the text. Make sure the text is on its own layer.
Below the layer of the text, use a black-purple gradient set to radial and create the gradient.

Not sure if it’s already a done deal, but would a combo of Alt + mouse wheel work?
Or what about Alt + bracket? Just spit balling and I’m sure some consideration has been researched.

Awhile ago I looked into adding this and there just weren't any keys left to bind these to. You can't just have conditional shortcuts in this case because that would make it difficult for a tool that wants to have both of those sliders. The Recolor tool, for instance, has both Hardness and Tolerance.
Choosing letters for the shortcuts, e.g. J and K, doesn't work well on non-QWERTY keyboards.
That make sense. Thanks for looking into it and explaining.
-
The shortcut key for accessing brush is 'B' and the short cut key to increase the size is the brackets '[ ]'; unfortunately, there's no shortcut key for the hardness, and I checked the Help file. Hopefully a future iteration would include shortcut key for the hardness because I think that would be very handy.

Yes. On the toolbar, set eraser slide to 100% and switch from antialias to alias.

Fixed it as best I could.
No worries, man. I figured you meant "birch" but it just made me laugh out loud.

Look into this comment in another thread as I give 4 methods:

@MylarDaleToloI think you should start your own gallery in the Pictorium. That way, you can document your journey and Paint.NET skill for everyone to see.

Man, this make me miss Welshblue as he was one of the masters when it comes to wood texture. Woodsy was awesome in his old west motif as evident by his awesome gallery.
Also, this awesome nugget in variant 6, "...and we will get a texture with an imitation of a bitch."
