  1. It took me quite a while to do it, but I got there thanks for the comment. Next I plan on trying to do Helen's glass orb tutorial (if I can find it) and your jewel one too
  2. As I promised you jim100361, here is what I came up with, sorry for using your table, but ours was full at the time I did use a picture of my own though. Thank you for the work gone into making this tutorial. I do have one point though - Should you also need a step #90 Flatten the image and save your finished work? or is that just so obvious anyway
  3. Invert selection = Ctrl + I on your keyboard
  4. yellowman, that is such a cool image.
  5. WooHoo, first entry Super minimal signature. Tree - modified custom brush mini. All PDN work.
  6. The larger version of that comp signature is really impressive DrewDale, The beam of light reflected on the tree is so realistic, great job.
  7. Great entry DrewDale what a great take on a song title. Well done to dug too for second placing congratulations to my fellow runners up (nanettealsop & doughty) I am honoured to be sharing joint 3rd placing. Well done to nitenurse79 for being a great host here too. What a great competition. And a great theme. The edit is because I can't count
  8. Nice outcome Minners71, but where has the UK gone ?
  9. Having just read your post on page 10 here, I understand now how it would work, read a Photoshop tutorial and then try to replicate it in PDN ? Sounds like a sweet idea. I would give it my best shot, it would be an interesting challenge I was going to ask santa for windows 8, but now have it, so apart from driving lessons and a whole host of vanity products, I don't think I need to ask / beg for anything else (please note, that is subject to change daily)
  10. Thanks Welshblue my letter to santa has already been written and sent off, so it would be too late to ask for a copy
  11. There is a fire effect plugin on here - http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?showtopic=11836 and a tutorial here - http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/12180-how-to-start-a-fire-with-paintnet/ that may or may not be helpful
  12. I assume this is a silly question, but I gather you need to have photoshop and photoshop skills? p.s Nice GridGrad and Droste image DrewDale.
  13. Thank you jim100361, I will be doing your tutorial this week sometime and will post the outcome Thank you for the comment and for the welcome too, nanettealsop, I'm happy that you like my work so far.
  14. Remember. A pet is for life, not just for christmas.

  15. Not meaning to start an off topic fight here, but I think Gillingham FC are the rootenest, tootenest, shootenest team around. Playing for the love and passion will always win over playing for money and gold Standing back and awaiting the flames Oh yeah..and while I'm here, great planet goonfella, very detailed, I love the colours too.
  16. I would love to know how to create a Christmas bauble like that one Helen. That is just so realistic
  17. I'm sure some parts could be improved with mine, I just rushed it to see if it could be done
  18. Thank you DrewDale, dug and blackpenny. I am learning each time I open up PDN, true that the tutorials are fun to learn from, plus I look around the gallery and wonder if I could perhaps be inspired by what I see (the answer is yes, but all I have to now is figure out how to do it) blackpenny, the tutorial pdnnoob has made is really simple to follow (even for a new arrival) The next tutorial I plan to follow is jim100361's puzzle picture one, that will be a challenge I'm sure of, but the more I learn the more I grow.
  19. Thank you for the welcome Welshblue And thank you all for the encouragement too. What a really nice friendly place to be Thank you also pyrochild - to get praise off Admin means a lot to me At Minners71 - Remember who to give a credit to if you win a sig battle
  20. This was done a little too quick, but works OK with text too
  21. Thank you all for your kind words It is nice to get compliments from talented members on here. I do plan to discover more about PDN and hope to add other things too, not just tutorial ones, but like barbieq25 mentions, tutorials are the best way to learn on here Again I thank you and I hope to learn from you all too. pdnnoob - true, the font is - Aharoni. A nice clean font. Minners71 - I just outlined the font with outline object radius - 8 deleted the inside parts with magic wand, then ran AA assistant twice or three times (I forget), then drop shadow a real light grey (RGB all 175) to get the desired result, the sliders from top to bottom were set as follows - X and Y on 2, Widening - 0, Blur - 3 Opacity - 255. for the middle S I used an upper case S on a different layer but smaller size to match the other lower case letters, then moved it to join the other letters. (the reason I used a smaller upper case letter for the middle S was because of the outline on a lower case S was too wide) But looking at your signatures and your art, you don't need tips from a new arrival like me anyway, yours are perfection.
  22. A great program that I am really enjoying learning how to use, Rick and all the plugin creators are stars and as DrewDale says so are the tutorial writers.

NEW ADDITION 03/06/2014 New Life Created this image using TechnoRobbo's new Strange Attractors plugin. No real reason for calling it new life, it just suited it NEW ADDITION 20/05/2014 St Jude's Ghost. Followed this Picture Frame tute by xod and use an image of my own from the St Jude storm that hit the South-east of England in October 2013. I called it St Jude's Ghost for obvious reasons. Not exactly a 100% Pdn art, but worth a share NEW ADDITION 22/04/2014 Pipes. Using RedOchre's new Slinky plug in to make this object. I used some wet floor reflection on the final image NEW ADDITION 10/11/2013 Finally got to grips with TechnoRobbo's Doodle Matic Plug In. A 3D Variation of my digital radio creation. NEW ADDITION 21/05/2013 - Abstraction. Created using RedOchres NewPlug In NEW ADDITION 19/04/2013 - DIGITAL RADIO. A modified version of a comp entry. NEW ADDITION 29/04/2013 - Colour Explosion This was going to be the basic idea for SOTW "Explosion of Colours" but I ran out of time and inspiration. So it's now a completed picture. NEW ADDITION 27/03/2013 Having another play around with clipwarp for this one. NEW ADDITION 12/03/2013 An Alien (or cyber wasp) Unfinished creation, If anyone wants the PDN to complete it, Let me know, I'm lost what to do next on it NEW ADDITION 12/03/2013 Playing around with some tube oblique and shape 3D ended up with a contemporary ornament. NEW ADDITION 27/02/2013 A slightly modified and bigger version of my SOTW75 Comp entry. NEW ADDITION 19/02/2013 A shape 3D / Rotate/zoom abstract. Could be missing something, unsure what though. NEW ADDITION 10/02/2013 Just fooling around with a gradient and twist with zoom got me to this, unsure of what it should be, but it looks cool. NEW ADDITION 29/01/2013 Welshblue sent me a PM with a modified version of my Clipwarp ellipse, So pleased with the result, I just had to share it. (many thanks Welshblue for taking the time and thought into enhancing the image ) NEW ADDITIONS 27/01/2013 Another clipwarp creation: I was just messing around with Shape 3D and created this one called puzzled world. This has taken me a long time to complete, Thank you to nanettealsop for the idea of adding a button on top of the needle NEW ADDITION 11/01/2013. Using Red Ochre & Null54's Clipwarp plug in, I'm really pleased with this one. NEW ADDITION 11/01/2013. Followed Jerkfight's wood floor tutorial and inspired by Welshblue's example of it, I came up with this one (please see page #5 for a better version of this) New ADDITION 06/01/2013.
