Hello midora, thanks for the reply. I know nothing about color profiles. Since Paint.NET does not support them (whatever they are) and the image looks the same in IE 9/MS Paint, does it mean these apps also lack support? Also, does it mean Firefox/ACDSee have suport and are displaying the image correctly? I do not have access to Photoshop. How can I convert the images to sRGB, hopefully with no further quality loss? Is there any free command-line (preferable) or GUI program I can use to easily and losslessly batch convert many JPEGs to sRGB?

Take a look at this image in Firefox and Internet Explorer/MS Paint/Paint.NET. In Firefox 16.0.2 or even in ACDSee it looks much more vibrant: In Internet Explorer 9/MS Paint/Paint.NET (on Windows 7 64-bit) however it looks quite dull in comparison and many colors also look completely different: How can I make at least Paint.NET display the colors properly, like they do in Firefox and ACDSee? Here's some technical information about the image: (Doesn't this forum have a proper PRE tag? CODE messes up all spacing and so does QUOTE.) I have many more images that behave like this, so please help!
