I will experiment more, when I have more free time, for now though, this is what I created after 10 mins play around

RFX - I think the graffiti style works really well, perhaps with smaller font it would work even better. Chimay12321 - The 3D ness (as yellowman put it) really works for me, a great sig all round. RFX - 0 Chimay12321 - 2

Seeing some of the examples here of what this plugin can do is really impressive. I hope to have a play around and try to come up with something too. Top marks davidf for writing this, kudos to yellowman & Red ochre for showing us what can be done.

Nos - your colours are really good, but I think the cream border around your font is a little too deep, it would have worked better with less if you see what I mean, I wish I could give half a point for it but sadly can't. That's MS Paint my friend, this is a forum for Paint.net two different programs

Your paint.net shortcut will go onto the start screen in windows 8 as a tile, all you have to do is think of the tile as a means to launch the program. No matter what name windows gives them, Apps are still programs. And, like jim100361 states, you still have a desktop in windows 8. The only thing gone is the Orb on the taskbar.

Useful plugin, after a quick play around, I found it to be good with text.

I don't think it has anything to do with what type of device they are using for printing on. But If you sent them a .pdn (paint.net's own file format) then obviously their printer wouldn't be able to open / print it anyway. You would have been better off sending them the image as a .png it has far better quality than a .jpg
