hey rick - sorry, but i can't wait. i installed gimp which is not as nice to handle but it works without the net framework. maybe you will consider developing a version that does not need the framework and runs out of the box.

hey rick, i found out that win7 allready has .net 3.5.0 sp1 integrated and that you should tick the checkbox under windows functions and components. i did so but it doesn't work. i cannot install .net by the setup because the setup asks me to tick the checkbox. so the cat bites itself into its tail. please let me know any further thinks that i can do. best regards thomas

hi after upgrading my win7 to sp1 i also upgraded the dotnet version to 4 with any security pack available. a few times there was an error when working with paint.net so i thought that reinstalling it would be the best solution. but the installer closes each time itself. well first i like to know if it needs net.3.5 or 4.0? because the windows update kinda uninstalled the 3.5 version. when trying to reinstall the old version there comes an information box saying that i have to change the windows function. i got there and ticked the checkboxes for net 3.5.1 but no sucess - it seems that i am unable to install the old 3.5. version. please help as soon as possible. i really like the program and don't want to miss it one day because i need this to work. best regards thomas
