  1. It's been a VERY long time since I have had a chance to play around with PDN or really do any kind of monkeying around with a program like this. It's a bit different than I remember. I feel really dumb that I'm not figuring this out on my own, so I apologize for this question. Currently, I'm trying to draw something in PDN, but I can't find a list of the keyboard shortcuts. I need to draw some straight lines and I swore there was a keyboard shortcut to help accomplish just that. Can anyone please help me? Is there a list of compiled keyboard shortcuts for all of the tools or no?
  2. I did a search, but didn't come up with anything, so I figured I'd ask and see if maybe if someone knows of one for PDN. I'm looking for a tutorial on how to make some retro looking event invitations in PDN. If you know of something that can help me, thank you very much. If not, it's okay.
  3. Trying to go with cartoon cloud kind of look, like in the start of The Simpson. So here's my two different cloud shapes: I've been playing with Graffiti, too! Graffiti image:
  4. My image is too big to post here, width wise. So here is a link to it: http://i1181.photobucket.com/albums/x434/FullMetalRabbot/PDN/TBWGAD_0_2.png If you can't view it that way, go to this link: http://s1181.photobucket.com/albums/x434/FullMetalRabbot/PDN/ The guest password is: 7AFOYI7 I've been trying to pull together a site about General Anxiety Disorder, since I have battled it all my life. I'm hoping I can help others, that battle with it, too. My image is just a practice banner image. I've been practicing banner making, since the site I wish to make, has been on my mind a lot. I really want it to be perfect and very useful for people.
  5. Playing around some more.... Some pixel squares.... Like the fade of this one. I really like this one. I would like to do the star one over. To me, it doesn't look so smooth. Trying to reduce noise, seems to make it look more blurry. The edges all around the star have been being difficult, too. I tried to use Gaussian Blue and even Feather, but edges around the star still look jagged to me.
  6. I know my first attempts aren't going to be professional, but I can go about posting my images from bad to good. These things take time, practice, and work. Comments are greatly appreciated, as long as they are nice. Also, if you have an idea on how I can improve the look of an image, please be as descriptive as possible. Anyway... I followed this tutorial: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/24151-gradient-bar-rainbow-sig/ And this is how I did... First try: Second try: Not really sure if I like the second try. Maybe I'd like it better, if I tried something different with the lettering. Also, if I were to go with a sig idea like that, I would stick to the size stated in the rules, because I know that image is too big, but I liked being able to try it out as a bigger image. Let's see... Oh, yes! I also did a little experimenting, just on my own. I kind of wanted to play around with some of the tools, especially the ones by pyrochild. I was really digging the Gradient Bars and Gradient Blocks plug-ins. Then I just wanted to see what Dents would look like. They're not the best in the world, but I'm sure if I keep digging through tutorials, I can improve on my experimenting. That's all I've done for now. Going to go rest, now. I really can't wait to improve with my PDN images!
  7. Thanks everyone. I will take in all of the advice that was offered and start digging in and trying some things, as well as reading up on information.
  8. Really hope that I am posting this is the right place. Anyway... Hi everyone. Being that I’m new to the Paint.Net program, I was wondering if maybe someone could tutor me in using the program . You see, I really wanted to take a Photoshop course, but I really don’t have the money for it and I don’t know when I’ll have the money for it. I was looking at grants, but my state is broke, so grants aren’t a way I can go, for the time being. After some internet searching, I stumbled upon Paint.Net and loved that it was free and similar to Photoshop. My only problem is, I don’t have very much experience when it comes to creating abstract or any other kind of images, or how to make them look good, or photo editing, There’s loads of things I would love to do with the program, because I like to explore my creative side. I’ve looked at some of the tutorials, before I signed up to this forum, but here’s the thing… When a tutorial calls for a specific image size, what if when you complete it and love it but you want to make a bigger image of the creation without using the resize feature, what do you do to make sure that the image creation still looks as nice as the smaller version? I don’t know, basically, I’m just lost and looking for help. I just really want something more to do with my time and distract me from my very bad anxiety disorder. If my mind is busy doing something I can have fun with, I can counter my attacks better. So anyone up for taking me on and teaching me some stuff with the best descriptions of explaining things as possible? I would really, really, REALLY appreciate it, if someone could help me out here.
