The wife was a romantic type and the husband was more of a no-nonsense guy. One afternoon the wife went out to meet a friend for coffee. She decided to send her husband a romantic text message and she wrote: "If you are sleeping, send me your dreams. If you are laughing, send me your smile. If you are eating, send me a bite. If you are drinking, send me a sip. If you are crying, send me your tears…….. I love you." The husband texted back to her: "I'm on the toilet. Please advise." 2- Nine Important Facts to Remember As We Grow Older: #9-Death is the number 1 killer in the world. #8-Life is sexually transmitted. #7-Good health is merely the slowest possible rate at which one can die. #6-Men have 2 motivations: hunger and hanky panky, and they can't tell them apart. If you see a gleam in his eyes, make him a sandwich. #5-Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day. Teach a person to use the Internet and they won't bother you for weeks, months, maybe years unless you give them your email address. #4-Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in the hospital, dying of nothing. #3-All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism. #2-In the 60's, people took LSD to make the world weird. Now the world is weird, and people take Prozac to make it normal. #1-Life is like a jar of jalapeño peppers. What you do today may be a burning issue tomorrow. la fin
  5. 1 An elderly woman goes to the Wizard to ask him if he can remove a curse she has been living with for the last 40 years. The Wizard says, 'Maybe, but you will have to tell me the exact words that were used to put the curse on you.' The elderly woman says without hesitation, 'I now pronounce you husband and wife. 2 In answer to the question, "Hot enough for you?" 3 [picture edited with PDN] John Bradly, a young university student, was on the side of the road hitch-hiking on a very dark night and in the midst of a big storm. As it got later and later and still no car came by. The storm was so strong he could hardly see more than a few feet ahead. Suddenly, he saw a car slowly coming towards him and it stopped. John, desperate for shelter and without thinking about it, got into the car and closed the door ... only to realize there was nobody behind the wheel and the engine wasn't running. The car then started moving slowly. John looked at the road ahead and saw a curve approaching. Scared, he started to pray, begging for his life. Then, just before the car hit the curve, a hand appeared out of nowhere through the window, and turned the wheel. John, paralyzed with fear, watched as the hand pulled back through the window. Shortly thereafter, John saw the lights of a bar appear down the road, so, gathering his strength, he jumped out of the car and ran to it... Wet and out of breath, he rushed inside and started telling everybody about the horrible experience he had just had. A silence enveloped the pub when everybody realized he was crying and shaking ... and wasn't drunk Suddenly, the door opened, and two other men walked in from the dark and stormy night. They, like John, were also soaked and out of breath. Looking around, and seeing John sobbing at the bar, one said to the other. 'Look Frankie ... there's that idiot that got in the car while we were pushing it !'
  6. Pixey I am amazed by this work. The lines, color, "flow" of the piece, the reflection pattern of the gems, the engraving so subtle but so integral to the whole look of the piece. Then the soft background patterning repeating the forms back into the picture. You have done a great one here. Oh and I like it too.
  7. Pixey, Great Image. You did a very " Glassic" rendition of some cool drinks for a happy, good time.
  8. From anyone but you welshblue, You we understand tootles, mon frer
  9. OK if you are going to limit my "likes" I'll, I'll just show you...... Take This! 1- 2- A guy took his blonde girlfriend to her first Football [ American- for our soccer friends] game. They had great seats right behind their team's bench. After the game, he asked her how she liked it. "Oh, I really liked it," she replied, "especially the tight pants and all the big muscles, but I just couldn’t understand why they were killing each other over 25 cents." Dumbfounded, her boyfriend asked, "What do you mean?" "Well, they flipped a coin, one team got it and then for the rest of the game, all they kept screaming was... 'Get the quarterback! Get the quarterback!' I'm like...Helloooooo? It's only 25 cents!!!!" 3- The Cynical Philosopher... Just read that 4,153,237 people got married last year, not to cause any trouble but shouldn't that be an even number? Today a man knocked on my door and asked for a small donation towards the local swimming pool. I gave him a glass of water. I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my grandfather. Not screaming and yelling like the passengers in his car. If I had a dollar for every girl that found me unattractive, they would eventually find me attractive. I find it ironic that the colors red, white, and blue stand for freedom until they are flashing behind you. Did you know that dolphins are so smart that within a few weeks of captivity, they can train people to stand on the very edge of the pool and throw them fish? You're not fat, you're just... easier to see.
  10. Gee sorta like "old" home week, here in the land of the PDN. Speaking of old, I'm certain I'm old but in PDN years I'm only about 2 Does that count......never mind
  11. Darn technology the rhymes of my youth commin' back........?Why?? sometimes reading English isn't all its cracked up to be
  12. AHH Shucks, your too kind. So here, for you
  13. Best use of PDN I have seen. You have created a art piece. Congratulations
  14. MY New exercise program is off to a good start
  15. With your skill(s) I bet you don't miss a thing, very often. The problem seems to be a " lack of competitive-comradery " as in days of old. [insert wise old wizard here] The beauty of the challenge is seeing others work and being able to comment/complement/critique and back it up with your Star Vote. But perhaps the "fire of creativity" has burned out and only a small glowing ember is all that remains of the once great illuminating conflagration! OR I could be totally out to lunch and just too doofy to know it
  16. Why Thank You Joshua. Though activity is lacking on this thread, perhaps your post may get the creative juices flowing once again. juices flowing once again. flowing once again. flowing once again. once again. once again. again. again. IS it just me or are we alone in here? here? here? here? here?
  17. Really like the girl in the bath. The tile background with the color fade, floor tiles in perspective, bubbles -wow! and the great portrait UH... I mean main character is great.
  18. LD cookies are Never counted, that defeats the purpose of eating them...unless you run out before my turn arrives
  19. One I have always thought was funny in its own right. There will always be those quiet rebels among us
  20. That's nearly a year in snail time ........ off for my nap now, Tootles
  21. I was simply thrilled, when I returned from vacation to find the Photobucket coup d'état. Of late, I have had to work around PB's constant barrage of ads and insane popups, so that my fast dwindling patience was at a breaking point anyway. Now This, too much, too little respect for long time customers/suffers of non-productive changes. I have found several sites that host photos , drawings, similes for free. Some are a bit cumbersome and others seem to be not to suit my style. There are two I can use with our beloved PDN and are both free to use: Postimage https://postimages.org/ and NickPicHost https://nickpic.host/ . No endorsement is meant other than to say, I can use either and they work with PDN- your mileage may vary . As an aside Nick, the guru of, NickPicHost does offer to transfer from PB to his site, any or all of your photos and /or albums as a service, for a very small sum (details @ https://bx.rs/update-photobucket-transfers/) Hope we all can find hosts we can rely on and trust so our paint.net can be all that it can be. I'm getting too old for this "aggravation" -can' t imagine how Rick and the other admins can keep their sanity -Bless 'em all
  22. Thank you for the inclusion in your June 30th post, I am honored. It's your accomplishments like the "Sons of the Muses" that is at issue. Must agree with the others; your journey is moving along with great strides. You are showing a selection of subject matter and style that is most interesting and stylistically progressing along very nicely.
