  1. WHEEEW! good. My joking statements were understood. Thanks all. ...."as long as they are laughing with you and not at you, you can accomplish much" Yeah, Steve I knew you were in Christchurch, which we have on our "bucket list" to come see. Just need a lot more, $$$US and we'll be good to go.
  2. Well regardless of the price (for me $10.00 US on Amazon, Kindle reader for PC, free ) the book is great. i was impressed with the authors ability to inform and explain the various components of PDN. If truth be told, the author, Scott Stringer, is much more entertaining and informative than our own Ego Eram Reputo, but that's just my opinion (ever notice how some people just cant help themselves from livening on the edge of annihilation ?--sighOh well) Thanks Scott "where ever" you are.
  3. OH! Thats the problem. So much to see on the inter-web and so little time......... HEY Welshblue how'd You know what I....never mind Merry Christmas, ....................................................Happy Holidays .........................................................or whatever joyful, kind, gentle greetings is correct for you
  4. Well, now you've done it. Eliminated my "I can't figure that out" excuse. While dragging me into the -gasp- 21st century, of literature. Many thanks for the hard work needed to create and produce this work; I shall look forward to advancing my smattering of discordant knowledge into a unified whole. ... as soon as I figure out how to spell amazondotcom, I'm good to go.
  5. Skullbonz - 2 Drewdale -2 Drewdale has created a smooth, professional illustration. The color pallet is in the same value range so as to not give a jarring look to his creation --in a quiet aside....... NEXT VOTER, PLEASE!
  6. Mottoman very nice nickel plating on the text. Welshblue A fine alien cord lock for their hoodies- ...........and I don't care a fig about the cut shadow...... a grape is altogether a different thing though Mottoman - 0 Welshblue - 2
  7. Oh thank heavens an easy choice.... MrSnaredog : Very clever concept; might consider a bit more text size, to make legibility better. Sasha :Nice 3d effect; very visible color combination. Not fond of the upper leading edge of the bottom "tiles" being undefined (by line or color variation) MrSnaredog --0 Sasha--1 What a chore to chose.Good job both
  8. Oceana - I too like the simplicty. As the text and background very ably support each other. Dare I say "clean" ----- water, clean, ? ---never mind pdnnoob - I'm put off (off put?) by the inconsistency in the sharpness/ blur of the objects, as well as a strange "shadow" on the blue object that seems to be at odds with the rest of the shapes. Please understand I DO like the sig's overall look and the colors (colours). Oceana -1 pdnnoob - 1
  9. ZZZZzzz,Snork, cough, OH, just work up and see there's still a game on..... Daniels your shiny text is very clean and the background is clean and clear. Nitenurse79 -was not sure about the frame but the background seems to need it. like the way your letters reflect and have a metallic sheen. Score now: Daniels -2 Nitenurse79 - 2 NEXT! voter please
  10. Both of you have great entries. but stylistically and technically I go for Drew's. Though if the reverse lettering had just a bit less intensity on the shadowing/outlining it would "feel" better/less in your face, to me ( if you're confused so am I ) But regardless the reflections are spectacular. RFX - 0 Drew Dale - 1
  11. RFX, nice shine though, the screws are a bit indistinct, may it be the result of your resizing? The corroded font, is... have you been looking at my bumper? Skullbonz, good job of perspective and the text is nicely readable. But for me, it’s just too much of all the same color value; not enough contrast over all. RFX -2 Skullbones - 0
  12. Very nice, both the examples and the text is very clear, and easy to follow. Good job thanks
  13. Still not back from New Years celebrating I guess Well done both; and as these two don't make it easy : DrewDale has vivid color, clarity and a nice 3d-ness (?) AGJM has a great sence of a soft flowing color wisps and a refined text font Anyway, ON TO The Vote: DrewDale - 1 AGJM - 1
  14. Ekstaze; well done, I like the linear background, very crisp. Believe the figure could be sharper; text is very prominent and legible Xzerizon; very colorful. I am put off by the aqua, it seems to detract from both background and text. The red/black background is very strong so your text could be stronger in value to better stand out. Ekstaze-- 1 Xzerizon- 0 Happy New Year All !
  15. Sorry, your right; while transfering from word .doc skipped the line . "Wheew, OK, It's... Nightnurse because of the hard edged color and use of blue ,green, gray and orange is tough to do and still be cool. penguin dolphin the wording/text needs to be sharper against the very well done background. appologys to all. Happy New Year!
  16. I can deside, I can, I know I can.........AGHHH ! Wheew, OK, It's... penguin dolphin - 1 nitenurse79 - 3 nitenurse79 -wins
  17. As previously stated a " really tough vote" Sasha: very well done; clean and legible with a nice refined use of shadow. Drew: I must say Wow (does that translate into English English?) I can hear the Cylon eye scanner as it sweeps across the sig, every time I look at it. Drew -1 Sasha -2
  18. DrewDale: great color choices between the ?beads? and the letters, scream out at you; while the hover effect is very well done . chimay: well done , very mystical and ?magic powder-ish. I would have liked a bit more emphases on the text, to bring it out of the "dust" DrewDale 1 chimay 0 It's never easy to chose around here
  19. Nihahhat nice glow of green in the background Noswad I like it but it's ?dour-dark to me Very dificult choice for me but... Nihahhat--1 Noswad --0
  20. My avatar problem is a thing of the past! The problem is solved with the addition of being able to down load from my computer . Many thanks again for the responses and help, in the past, trying to get me "up and runnin' ".
  21. DrewDale: nice work on the separation between the letters and the background "sticks" ; the last layer (red sticks) shouldn't be so chopped off, it loses the curve of the shape; just wish (for me) the colors (colours) were bolder minners71 : Wow, intriguing and full of sly, subtle techniques. most impressive. Bet it would be a blast in a metallic color DrewDale - 0 minners71 - 1
  22. My vote is for nitenurse cause I like it better Xzerizons is, too-not quite-uh .......for me NightNurse 2 Zeri 1
  23. Welshblue and EER thank you both for your kind explanation & help. I shall now go forth (or maybe 3d, as I'm new) an' produce major master pieces (emphases on the pieces, as a full one is beyond me.......for now )
  24. Thank you for your response. Ok-e-doky then looks as if I'll have to add ImageShack to my roster of programs. In your experience would it be safe to say that the photobucket "problem" with the avatar program is self contained and, as you say "I use Photobucket exclusively! ", that I most likely will be able to use photobucket for the day to day paint.net use? Regardless, thanks again for your help.
