  1. Thanks for the compliments. I plan on getting more active, soon. Scripting is taking a lot of time.
  2. Thank you for all the compliments, HELEN. Yes, hopefully, the TDE logo will be used for something. [Xzerizon has achieved 'Demoman'!]
  3. penguin dolphin: That is a very nice sig. The text could use a little work, but the surrounding effects are amazing. I like the subtle way you included the planet. nitenurse79: Also an awesome sig. Unfortunately, I'm not that found of that green-blue combo, although you make it look nice. Likewise, the text in this could use a little bit more attention. p_d: 1 nn79: 0
  4. I think it's been long enough to make a new post. Sorry for my absence. I've been caught up in learning Lua scripting. I'm in the process of making a small game with it.
  5. HELEN and barbieq - Thank you for the birthday wishes and compliments. The Steel and Silver siggy is a work in progress; what should I add to it? :o Sozo - I'll get on it soon.
  6. Thanks, dug. Oh yeah. On another note, I just had my birthday a few days ago.
  7. It's nice, clean, and simple. A small problem with the shading towards the bottom of the R3ASZ, but otherwise good. For the diamond shard effect, paste the picture in, and then use rotate/zoom to scale/rotate it as you need. The angle option is critical for the diamond effect.
  8. Thanks for the critique. I haven't had much time to sit down and make art, recently. (I've also run into a Skyrim phase...)
  9. Good job, chimay! It's always me vs. you, isn't it, nitenurse?
  10. penguin dolphin - 2 - It's funny, but I've seen the basic idea done thousands of times on another website so it's not really that hilarious anymore. It's a bit simple. chimay12321 - 2 - Nice work. No jaggies, a nice motion effect, and just plain awesome.
  11. You have amazingly detailed works. My sig is based off of yours in the hexagonal grid portion. It's an awesome idea, so I couldn't resist. The rat skull is interesting. Likewise, it would be better larger, but it's still great all the same! Keep it up.
  12. Amazing work. You're one of the first people I've seen to do painting with the smudge and brush tools. Not THE first, but one of them. It's awesome. Your detail is amazing.
  13. Awesome space images. Some of the best on here. The future is my favorite genre. All the technical detail and machinery I love. Especially space scapes- I've made my fair share of those. Anyway, this is all amazing. Keep it up!
  14. Oh wow. Amazing images. In the batch of logos on page 6, my favorite is the first Infinity logo. All of them are freaking awesome. Decay also catches my eye. Keep up the amazing work.
  15. Nice works. I like the positive message your images give off, such as the latest one. There are really good arrangements, and I agree: It may look simple, but a lot of work and time goes into it. My favorite is the latest one: Smoking Kills. By the way, I don't get why smoking is considered cool by teenagers.
  16. The redo is excellent. I am shocked at how realistic portraits you make!
  17. I call it concrete plaza because it reminds me of a plaza more than anything else. Haha! The puns... Yeah. It's a daunting task for me.
  18. Not being able to make a glass of water, as in, I can't handle the distortion effect. The gloss is also hard to pull off. I'm trying to go the extra mile and make a background to show off how the glass distorts, but it just doesn't work. Next will be the advanced spacescape. Also, thanks for the compliments. Is the Concrete Plaza WIP looking realistic? I plan to add stuff like benches to it.
  19. Really, REALLY good on the grid/truss one. I think I see how you did it, and it's clever. The rose is nice also. I like the 'Color Fragment' (as I call it) effect.
  20. I felt it has been too long and this post is too big for editing the last post. Sorry I've been absent for so long. I've been busy. I will not be doing the glass of water. My abilities just aren't up to glass-making level yet.
  21. Thank you for the compliments and advice. I will get on that challenge soon, HELEN. I haven't gotten around to creating the glass of water yet, but I will be making it soon. I made a tutorial on uploading images for renee. I want to know what you think.
  22. No! I'm not trying to get you to stop posting at all. There is a lightning plugin made by Cookies and Ego Eram Reputo. It draws a lightning bolt along a grey gradient. Personally, I feel like making my own lightning, but it's good for learning. The Lightning Plugin can be found here. http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?showtopic=19792 I said I could PM you, not you keeping off the forums and just PMing. I find PMing easier to keep track of and it just feels cleaner than forums posts. Don't stop posting! I (and many others, I am sure) would love to have you stick around! P.S.: Our birthdays are only days apart? Cool.
  23. Star Glow is more of something to add a shine to images. If you want a lightning bolt to glow, I suggest just using the effect Glow. It's located in Effects - Photo - Glow. Make sure the contrast is rather high and the brightness is at max. Play around with the radius for the results you want. (Radius affects how far the glow is spread out. Brightness changes how bright it is. Contrast makes some areas lighter than others (In this case, you want a high contrast to get the glow to be brightest in the center.)) If you wish, I can send you a PM with either more details about this and/or teach you how to make screenshots. P.S.: Don't give up.
  24. Because of all the long posts, I won't quote. Welsh, you are NOT harsh. You give good advice. You shouldn't put yourself down like that! :c The background of the ruins, I rendered some light clouds and then smudged them. I didn't use the fragment blur, but I will keep your critique in mind. I will try to be more attentive to detail. I thought I was being somewhat realistic, but obviously I have a long way to go. Alright, for my next work, I'll take a glass halfway filled with water, stare at it for a while, and then try to make it in PDN. I hope it comes out good! I don't want to be above using reference photos, but I have a tendency to just trust my imagination. It has served me well in writing Barbieq, I really want to improve, yes! With the work of masters like you spread across these forums, I feel like it would be a disgrace to just post art made with mediocre effort. For the record, I don't rush images. I just add more and more details until eventually I can't really add anything more without upsetting the image, pretty much. Since I'm not that good with PDN, I run into this wall within two hours. Likewise, it will be a pleasure to watch me grow. Nanettq, thank you for the compliment. About the eye getting tired... I read in your gallery that you flip the image every five minutes to wake up your eye. How does that work? It makes your eye see things in a new way? Thank you all for all the good advice. I made the following images while watching a movie, so I didn't do much in the way of studying. Hopefully, these are the last images made in a quicker way.
