ShapeMaker - by the Dwarf Horde (Jan 30th, 2016)

Apologies Boltbait. Was an example of how Draw Filled Shape was working. I thought there would have been a outline around the Application shape like the top and bottom shape instead of a bar. -

Lynxster, the lines are nice and smooth. Your heart is real nice. Part of my problem was that I didn't get a nice smooth curve. My line connection had either a slight bump or divot. I gave up too easy. I love what everyone else is doing. -

Hi, Welcome Mr. Ochre. CC4, Sorry, I went on to something else. I did use it to play with Midoras GIF tools. Techno, Aww shucks. Lynxster, I made three different hearts. The first one was wonky on purpose (fatter on one side) copied from another project. Nothing wrong with it. The other two? I don't know what I did. Racerx, That way of making a heart looks interesting. -

Hi this doesn't seem to be working right. I'll try again. This goes to Google Drive where you can download a screen clip of Welshblue's Metallic Text in a zip file. This post isn't needed anymore thanks to EER getting the original tutorial up again. Here is the link to it. Link:http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/26860-glossy-metallic-text/ -

I tried Zagna's tribal shape a while back. Paint.Net seemed to shudder, but it did render the shape. Lynxster4 I made my heart shapes early on and just figured that the bugs hadn't been worked out of ShapeMaker yet. I thought it was known that the fill didn't always turn out looking right, but I thought the pinwheel look was really cool. I apologize that I didn't catch your meaning. And I apologize, BoltBait, for using the Application shape as an example. Maybe Draw Filled Shape just won't work for everything. -

I didn't know that the fill problem was fixable, now that I know I'll try to redo a couple of mine. It can be an asset though. The pinwheel flowers I made was with Lynxster's 5 petal flower shape in fill mode. http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/32343-lynxster4s-nature-pack/?p=431729 -

How to disable Recently Opened Files list?
doughty replied to ayahuasca's topic in Paint.NET Discussion and Questions
Eli, I learned something new. I like the Open Recent files myself. Zagna, Does this mean that ayahuasca needs to delete history on his computer? We don't need to do bad things. -
How to disable Recently Opened Files list?
doughty replied to ayahuasca's topic in Paint.NET Discussion and Questions
Hi At the bottom of Open Recent list there is the choice to :CancelButton: Clear this List. Don't know that you can set it to autoclean. -
I understand and I too get lost amongst my layers when the group I'm working on suddenly move to the bottom and out of sight. My simi-fix is to stretch the layer window up as far as possible. I also work some elements separately from the main picture which can create it's own problems. Would be nice if things would stay put.

Issues with Transparent Background
doughty replied to alvin2383's topic in Paint.NET Discussion and Questions
Clippingguru, what you posted is not going to help Alvin with his problem. This forum is for Paint.net, NOT Photoshop. -
Seerose, Love the pink and blue star shapes and I especially like the background. Was the background made with GridGrad? http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/27430-seeroses-gallery-october-update-2015/?p=433188

Create Images for Homepage -> Text over Picture
doughty replied to Boy2006's topic in Paint.NET Discussion and Questions
Seems the size of the color bar would depend on the size of the text. The color bar should be made separately on the layer below the type. Or find a font that has a surrounding color. For instance: http://www.dafont.com/djb-sticky-tape-labels.font?fpp=100 Save a copy in PDN format to make changes later if needed. What Ego said. -

Hi You could be hitting Backspace instead of Delete. -
what is the watermark plugin called?
doughty replied to cubsterky's topic in Paint.NET Discussion and Questions
Seerose, try using the numeric keypad to the right of the keyboard. That is how I got this. © Apologies if you already tried that. -
I didn't see the movie either. I only knew about the Back to the Future Day 'cause it was on the morning news.
-
Do the entries have to represent something from the movie or can it be anything that hasn't been invented yet?

Hello Barbieq, Thank you for all the complements. The white flower is actually a very light purple. A spring crocus, the very first thing that blooms in my yard. I named the one you mention Water Crocus. It looked like water to me also.I tried to find or make a few little fish but failed to make it look realistic. I made it with MultiSpine, got lucky with that effect. Thanks for stopping by.

It is a movie. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Back_to_the_Future_Part_II "October 21, 2015, the date when Marty and Doc arrived in the future, was celebrated as Back to the Future day, celebrating the trilogy's legacy." Today is Back to the Future Day.
